The Owners Story: Carrie Villalobos

Since childhood Carrie always liked working with her hands.  Her dad and grandfather could build anything and her grandfather even built several additions on his house by himself.  She loved helping.  Her mother would regularly come home and find the backs of Tvs, refrigerators and remotes off as Carrie wanted to see how everything worked.  She has always had a love of art and being creative and art has been a big source of happiness in her life.

At 16 she graduated from the Home Builders Institute in Building and Apartment Maintenance where she learned basic plumbing, electrical, painting and other small maintenance tasks.  She worked at ITT Tech in California then a small apartment complex as the maintenance person until she left for the military at 18.  In the U.S. Navy Carrie was a Seabee and was a Builder in a construction battalion.  She learned masonry, framing, concrete, drywall, roofing, painting and how to operate certain heavy machinery.

After the military she worked in retail and restaurant management while completing her BS in Business Management and her MBA.  She worked for almost a decade as a Compliance Officer for the U.S. Department of Labor where she reviewed federal contractors compliance with DOL Civil Rights programs.  She has also worked as a Project manager for a restoration company and has experience with insurance claims for fire and water damage.

She has had training in building inspection, LEED programs and various needs of real estate investors.  She was working as a freelance handywomen after covid started and realized she really loved painting and decided she also wanted to learn wallpaper.  Since then she has served 100s of clients providing well done painting and wallpaper jobs.  She is very interested in architecture, interior design, art installations, sustainability and gardening and would love to integrate those interests into beautiful walls in peoples homes and businesses.
